Sahel Arms is an online resource for collectors to display their collections from the Sahel and to educate the general public about the weapons and warfare of this region.

The Sahel is a vast area, from the Sudan to Nigeria and containing many diverse ethnic groups. Well known iconic swords include the kaskara and takouba, as well as a multitude of spear and dagger forms.

This is a communal space to share photos and details of private collections. All are encouraged to send in photos and enhance the database of collections. However, please be aware this is a curated space and not all items will be selected for display. This helps to create the best visitor experience and reduce duplicate items.
